So I have a confession…I haven’t been taking my meds like I should. But I took them yesterday and today and I already feel better. The drawback is that it takes my appetite away, which I guess is good, but not if I’m trying to be healthy about this. More on that issue to come.
I did PT today. It was difficult, but I got through it a lot easier having had 2 days off for my muscles to calm down and stop hurting a bit. As I posted on Facebook, I will be running stairs at the Double Tree once a week and I also ordered my swimsuit so I can begin swimming.
All in all I’m very confident about my progress, no weight loss or not. When I think about eating junk food it actually makes my stomach curl. I’m mortified at how awful my diet had gotten. I’m 30 years old and taking blood pressure medication. Sad.
For dinner I made a SkinnyTaste recipe http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/07/summer-vegetables-with-sausage-and.html
It didn’t come out so great. However, I blame the ingredients. I should actually say my husband made dinner, bc I got stuck in traffic, as usual, so he cooked. I love him. He cooks, he cleans, and he lays my pajamas out for me. Some men would call that whipped. I just call him a man. 🙂 I also call him baby, sweet-lips, and butt-face. I want an equal partnership in my marriage and that’s what I got. We share all the responsibilities. Well, sort of. I don’t work on the cars or mow the lawn 🙂 Although I’ve been known to replace wiper blades or fill wiper fluid.
Also, just for the record, I could only do each 1 minute exercise in each circuit for about 30 seconds, if that. Some of them…one or two, I was able to do all the way through, but otherwise I did a lot of marching in place or extremely lazied up versions. I’m ok with that. It’s a work in progress. In high school after my sophomore year I got a bug and started running…like crazy. I started out doing a LOT of walking…starting with the hill into Fairlington right in front of my old condo. By the end of the summer I was running the entire length of Fairlington and back, sometimes twice a day. I know by now that I have to build up my abilities. And not freak out when it gets hard.
‘Night, ya’ll 😀
Motivational Reason # 876: So I don’t look like Jaba the Hut when I sit down.
